Sweep Auger

A sweep auger is a mechanical device used in grain garage facilities to efficaciously cast off ultimate grain from the bottom of a garage bin. Consisting of a rotating helical screw or auger connected to a long shaft, the sweep auger movements along the bin floor, pushing grain toward a primary discharge starting. This process efficiently clears out residual grain, preventing spoilage and ensuring most appropriate storage situations. Sweep augers are commonly used together with grain bin unloaders to completely empty the storage shape.
